Best practice would be to do this initially via software on your host server(s) and create the initial backup image to removable disk and then transfer it to our offsite storage arrays. Subsequent backups are then made using your internet connection. Sometimes for large volumes of data some customers may require an internet link upgrade to enable the backups to complete within a reasonable time window, however this can be discussed with you should it be required.
